When you give your next speech, don't imagine you have to be on your own. You don't. That's because you've always got public speaking props to help you. Indeed you can use a prop on the podium to help you in so many ways.

Top Tips for How to Use a Public Speaking Prop
Clearly when your speech to the sales team involves a discussion of something tangible, then a prop is key to your success. However, do take care with matters technology. So many speeches and presentations falter because of WiFi or Bluetooth communications delays. Be wary.
But many other speeches can also benefit from good public speaking props. For example, a piece by Sergeant Jim Duering of the Grand Island Police Department in Nebraska involved plenty of pops. He showed a baseball bat seized from a gang member. Then, he showed a gang affiliation handkerchief. And he also used a baseball cap featuring a gang’s 3-digit area code. Good stuff indeed.
Others, such as the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) officer Lee Paige, have made a mess of their props. Agent Paige managed to accidentally fire his weapon, a Glock 40 pistol. Unfortunately he managed to shoot himself. In the leg. Still, he lived and he kept going with his presentation!
Public Speaking Props Tested by Presidents
And we simply can't forget the very brave attempt of President Ramaphosa of South Africa to demonstrate how to wear a face mask in 2020. Ridiculous, yes, but he manfully kept it all together as he wrestled with a tight head prop. Great effort!
So we were intrigued by the appearance of another President. President Donald Trump at the Republican Convention soon after the attempt on his life. We were intrigued firstly by his sheer indomitable spirit. And secondly intrigued by his ear bandage. Undoubtedly necessary, but what a prop.

As a public speaking prop it was incomparable. And more so when you realised that his adoring MAGA (Make America Great Again) audience members were also sporting similar creations. Now, that's audience engagement. Bigly.
