  • Miley Cyrus Grammys Speech Proves a Hit in Los Angeles

We always love a good acceptance speech at one of the numerous showbiz or music awards ceremonies. And yes, there really are a lot of them. So this week it was the turn of the Grammy Awards held in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and it was the Miley Cyrus Grammy speech that caught our attention. Because it was certainly different. Positively different.

Her acceptance speech came after she was presented with the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for her song, Flowers at the event that fulfilled all of its exaggerated hype. A great show.

Miley Cyrus Grammy speech is on the Record

Usually we can predict either a formulaic acceptance speech that ticks all the right boxes. Or, a speech that gushes its way into incomprehensible drivel.

Miley Cyrus Grammy Speech Hits the Right Notes

Occasionally, of course, we do find some gems. There was the Colin Firth Golden Globe speech and also the Steve Coogan speech at the 2019 Britannia Awards.

But a storytelling speech is bold and brave as we heard at the BAFTA awards with Emma Watson's acceptance speech. It worked.

And the Miley Cyrus Grammy speech, unconventional and memorable, also succeeded,

Her beginning was fairly typical for these events as the winner gets ready.

This is too iconic.

And then she was off…

There's a story that I want to tell that sums up the moment.
So there was a little boy and all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly.

Very good! This Miley Cyrus Grammy speech highlights the rules for these acceptance speeches. The winners don't have much time for their speeches, since the new duration rules gained traction. Miley squeezed in her story by talking pretty fast. It's certainly one technique.

This song, Flowers, is my butterfly.

How You Can Give Your Own Acceptance Speech in Style
